About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Acloudidea (Pty) Ltd, the South African company that runs EventsSwiper ("we", "us"). They cover the EventsSwiper app and the website at eventsswiper.com. By using EventsSwiper, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Who can use EventsSwiper
In short You need to be 13 or older, with a parent or guardian's permission if you're under 18.
Some events are only for adults. Follow the age rules of any event you go to; the organiser decides who gets in.
Your account
- You can browse as a guest, or create an account with your email or Google account to save events across devices.
- Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Events on EventsSwiper
In short We help you find events, but we don't run them. Check the details with the organiser before you go.
- Events come from organisers, from users, and from public sources. Some details are read from posters by AI and may contain mistakes.
- Times, prices, venues and line-ups can change or be cancelled without us knowing. Always check with the organiser or ticket seller.
- Tickets are sold by the organiser or a ticket platform, not by us. Their terms apply to your purchase, refunds and entry.
- We aren't responsible for what happens at an event, or for the organiser's actions.
Events and photos you add
- Only add real events, with details that are true as far as you know, and photos you have the right to share.
- You keep ownership of what you add. You give us a free, worldwide licence to store, show, adapt (for example, resize) and share it in EventsSwiper and in promoting EventsSwiper, for as long as it's on EventsSwiper.
- We may check events before they're published, and we may edit, hide or remove any event that breaks these terms or seems wrong.
Rules for using EventsSwiper
Don't use EventsSwiper to:
- post fake, misleading, spam or duplicate events;
- promote anything illegal, hateful, violent or sexually explicit;
- infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
- scrape, copy or resell the event listings;
- try to hack, overload or interfere with the app or other users' accounts;
- break any law.
Subscriptions and payments
In short Paid plans are optional, billed by Google Play or the App Store, and renew until you cancel.
- Plans: EventsSwiper is free to use. Optional Premium and Pro plans unlock extra features. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
- Billing: payment is taken by Google Play or the App Store, under their terms.
- Free trials: if we offer one, it turns into a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel before then. One trial per person.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Cancelling: in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your App Store settings. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds: handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer protection law.
Our app and brand
EventsSwiper, its design, code and brand belong to Acloudidea (Pty) Ltd. You may use the app for your own personal use, but don't copy, modify or redistribute it.
Changes and availability
We're always improving EventsSwiper, so features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We'll try to give notice of big changes that affect paid features.
Our responsibility to you
In short We provide EventsSwiper with care, but we can't guarantee every listing is right.
- EventsSwiper is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that event information is accurate or complete.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events, organisers, ticket sellers or other users.
- If we are liable to you, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or other law that can't be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using EventsSwiper at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Deleting your account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If we can't, the courts of South Africa will decide, without affecting any right you have to go to a court or regulator where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using EventsSwiper after that, the new terms apply.
